Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification tests. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam content. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment, please contact the exam provider directly. Make sure to provide a detailed document upon registration.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty find their exam schedules. Additionally the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. For evening classes final exams are scheduled during the regular class meeting time during the exam week.

Registration
The exam schedule is available online, and students are advised to look it up. It is important to remember that the schedule for exams can be altered at any time. Students should therefore consult their instructors to confirm the correct time and date of their exam. Students should be sure to print the official list and bring it with them to their exam.
Students should also familiarize themselves with the guidelines and conditions of the exam, in addition to the exam schedule. They are available on the website for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.
Exam locations try their best to accommodate those with special needs. The nature and the extent of these needs must be declared on the registration and confirmed by a medical attestation. Additionally the exam sites must be kept confidential.
If students are scheduled to take three tests on the same day, they must contact their instructor or department to arrange for a make-up test. It is possible to take three examinations on the same day. However, this can cause a lot of stress and affect the quality. The professor might not be able to offer a makeup test on another day.
Before taking the test students must prepare by reviewing their syllabus and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that measures your ability to read, speak, and write German. The results of the examination are presented using a scale ranging from zapisy na egzamin a1 to C2. Students who pass the test receive an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has attained the level of kategoria a1 in their language. This level corresponds to the first stage of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students should bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Anyone who does not have a valid photo ID will be disqualified from taking the exam.
Fees

Practice assessments provide you with an overview of the format of the questions, their wording and the difficulty of questions on the test. They help you assess your knowledge, identify areas of weakness and increase your chances of passing the test.
Please note that the exam fee is not refundable. Exam results are only emailed and not via telephone.
