Obtaining Your Driving License A1

A driver's license is an important document that officially permits you to drive. You must sign up for driving school and pass written and physical tests.

A1 is the first category of driving licence that allows you to drive a motorbike up to 125 cc and 11 kW. If you're over 24 years old, you can obtain an A category license.

Training

The process of obtaining your driver's license a1 is an exciting and vital step in your motorcycling journey. You'll need to complete a basic course of 17 hours of instruction before you are able to take your theory test and a practical driving test. You can finish your training at a driving school or ongoing driver training centre, as well as with private trainers.

You will have to perform a number of controlled road maneuvers, such as a figure eight and slowing down. Then, you will be asked to demonstrate a keen eye and anticipate road hazards.

After passing your A1 driving test, you are eligible to be upgraded to A2 driving category. This is only possible if have held your A1 licence for a minimum of two years.

The requirements for licensing

You may need to attend a driving school approved by the Ministry of Transport in order to get a category A1 license if you are a student.
