The Maxi-Cosi Lora

The Iora is a bassinet designed for infants designed to help parents feel more connected to their baby while they sleep. It can be adjusted up and down and slides through three positions to be placed next to the bed of the parent, or in the corner of the room so that the baby is always close at hand. The mesh siding allows air to flow through, and allows you to see your baby easily. You can also keep additional pajamas or other items in the large basket beneath.

Unlike some other smaller bedside crib options, the Iora folds flat and comes with a carry-on bag to allow it to be taken anywhere. This is a great choice for parents who are looking to sleep in a co-sleeping arrangement but don't want to share their own beds, or whose partners might be prone to mobility issues, such as back problems or arthritis. Our mom testers love the fact that they can easily access their child in the Iora, and it also has an adjustable reflux incline that can help alleviate gas.

Our mothers appreciate that the mattress follows NICE guidelines. These include placing the baby in the Moses basket or crib on its own, without toys, blankets or pillows. They also claim that the mattress is firm and comfortable for babies and is easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as other cribs for bedside use however, so if you want something lighter and easier to move around, look at other options in our list.
